Faith Head is an alternative / metal band from Chattanooga, TN. Faith Head formed in 2016 and has performed regionally, nationally and on radio and television. The band will share the stage with anyone and play almost anywhere. Faith Head claims no specific genre and refuses to be categorized. Lyrically the music addresses religion, cultural polarization and a rotting moral landscape in order to point to hope. Live Faith Head is a straight-up rock show without backing tracks to give the audience a pure, raw live performance with all its unpredictability. The band was nominated for Metal Band of the Year in 2019 by the Tennessee Music Awards. Faith Head’s second album “Genesys” was released worldwide on April 15, 2019. The album reflects much of what they see happening in the world today. Is it the beginning of the end or just a dress rehearsal for Armageddon? The music is the band’s response to culture and social media as they see the system breaking down and people becoming more polarized. FaithHead will be sharing the stage for the first time with Disciple, Colton Dixon, Ashes Remain, Love & The Outcome, nobigdyl and Aaron Cole in September at the Ignite Festival 2019 in Meadville, PA. The band released their debut album “Are you a Faith Head?” on December 2016 and landed at #6 on Metal Pulse Radio's Top 10 album of the Year in 2016. In 2017 Faith Head was nominated by Independent Artist Magazine for Best Male Artist of the year. The band was featured in the documentary "Metal Missionaries" in September 2017. The group also toured on the southeast leg of The Extreme Tour in 2017. The band was also the first hard rock act to perform at the Gospel Spin Awards in October 2017.

The Band

jason-beaversFaith Head consists of four spiritual minded individuals who live for Christ first and foremost in their lives. After many months of prayer and waiting on God’s perfect timing, the final members came together Novmeber 2015.

Jason Beavers – Vocals – Born in Dalton Georgia, Jason played and sang in church most of his life. He started playing shows in 1994 with Prazing Hymn, then as guitarist for Masters Machine in 1996-1998. Jason formed Amplified Chaos in 1998 before joining Faith Head in November 2015.jonfreeman

Jon Freeman – Guitarist – After many bands in 2005 Jon helped form The Well Experience. After a long struggle in the music business, The Well Experience disbanded, Jon joined Burning Alter before Faith Head bassist, PFunk. Three years after Burning Alter disbanded Jon receives a phone call in the Fall from PFunk to talk about the Faith Head project. March 2015 Jon officially joins the band.

JackieCox1Jackie Cox – Drums – Long time friend of PFunk , Jack’s musical journey began in 1984 with watching a Kiss concert on MTV. Though most KISS influenced drummers hail to the school of Peter Criss, but Jack’s hero was the late Eric Carr, whose highly energetic playing hooked Jack and spawned his interest in the drums. Forming his first band in 1994, Jack spent 6 years playing and opening for several big name bands and bounced around to band to band but never seemed to be able to fill the emptiness in his heart. After a string of bands and shows, Jack fell on his knees in 2000 and cried out to Jesus to come in to his life. Jack and PFunk played in a couple of bands together, Vive Tribe and Covered Scars before ultimately forming Faith Head.

PFunk1975-RB2012PFunk – Bass – Growing up in church this prodigal son ventured to the limits of God’s amazing grace and mercy. After coming back to the fold and the suicide of a fellow band mate, PFunk swore that he would dedicate his life to using his talents to the Lord exclusively. After many years of waiting and then eventually investing in to other people’s music ministries and the disbanding of Covered Scars, PFunk and Jackie prayed for direction and vision for a new band if it was His will for their lives.

After a couple of years, PFunk was listening to an apologist on the radio and heard these fateful words. “The world thinks we’re all just a bunch of faith heads!” Later that evening after going the Urban Dictionary and some Google Searchs, the Holy Spirit starting speaking to him. After sharing His vision for Faith Head with Jack and many months of prayers and patiently waiting, God finally moved all the pieces together for these four individuals to become one unit.
